A Syrian Woman is a short documentary bringing together stories from Syrian women living within and outside of refugee camps in Jordan. With the Syrian crisis now in its ninth year, these women intimately share how they continue to rebuild their lives and find strength to ignite hope in their children, many of whom have only known life as a 'refugee.'

The film presents a vision of these women as managers, caregivers, and advocates for change fighting to keep hope alive.

We wanted to learn more about these women. Their stories of survival and transformation highlight the universal struggles many displaced women and children face. These mothers and daughters now live in a world where they are making decisions for themselves and their families independently – often for the first time in their lives – all while navigating adversity in the form of economic uncertainty, gender-based trauma, and childhood marriage.
